With our Elementary Education route, you will earn a K-9 Elementary Education teaching license (#2088). This will be a Tier II Provisional License.
Our DPI-approved program is designed to take approximately 17 months to complete and includes asynchronous learning coursework, monthly face-to-face classes (both in-person and virtual), 40 hours of pre-student teaching, an 18-week clinical experience (student teaching), and a portfolio demonstrating proficiency in Wisconsin's 10 Teaching Standards.
Our instructors designed the coursework to develop reflective, collaborative educators who are continually learning to help their students learn. Our advisors work with you during your pre-student teaching, clinical experience, and portfolio completion offering observations, feedback, guidance, and encouragement. Additionally, you will be assigned an on-site mentor within your school to offer similar contributions.
If you are ready to start the journey of becoming a teacher, please review our admission process and program requirements. We are currently accepting applications for the 2024-2026 cohort!
